Welcome! I am a watercolor artist from Golden Valley, Minnesota. My work is greatly inspired by my childhood growing up in Tanzania (East Africa), and by my love of light, shadow, and color. In my paintings I try to achieve a realistic yet painterly style, which allows the magical, transparent qualities of watercolor to shine.
I am also a professionally trained educator, and have been teaching since 2000. I love sharing my passion for watercolor and I enjoy teaching others the skills and techniques I am learning along the way.
I have always felt a deep connection with nature. For the most part, I am inspired to paint animals and landscapes (and occasionally other things, as the mood strikes me). Use the "Gallery" tab above to browse some of my work!
